Materials:
  • paint (base coat: Yellow Fickle SW1367, Golden Fleece SW6388) (Sherwin-Williams)
  • clear glaze
  • rags
  • paint roller
  • paint trays
  • paintbrushes

Directions:

1. Apply the base coat and let dry.

2. To recreate the mottled appearance on the featured fabric, mix one part Golden Fleece paint with three parts clear glaze. Dip a rag into the mixture and apply it to the walls with a very loose rolling and blotting technique. Don't worry about how heavy or light the pattern is at this point.

3. Let the mixture dry completely. Go back over the surface with a brush full of the base coat color using crosshatch strokes to soften the overall effect. Continue until satisfied (stand back every so often to check the result).
