Materials:
- Curtain rod
- 3" foam – 24" x 39"
- 3/4 yd. coordinating print
- 1 yd. plaid 54" decorator floral fabric
- ½ yd. coordinating solid
- 6 yds. gimp
- 1½ yds. 3/8" braid
- Four 1 1/8" cover buttons
- 2 tassels
- 8 yds. cording (to cover)
- One 5½" x 7½" pc. clear plastic for 4"x 6"

Directions:
1. Cut fabrics for front
& back: Front: floral 25" x 40". Back: plaid 25" x 40".
2. Boxing strip: cut 2
pieces plaid 3½" x 25" & 2 pieces plaid 3½" x 40".
3. Cut bias strips from
solid to make 8 yds. covered cording.
4. Seam 3½" edges of
boxing strips together to form rectangle.
5. Tabs: cut five 5" x
9"pieces of solid. Seam long edges. Turn, press & sew or glue braid to
center front.
6. Evenly space 5 tabs
right sides up onto one long side of boxing strip. Match both cut edges
& baste.
7. Cut pockets from
plaid: 15" x 9" for book or magazine & 6" x 8" for glasses or remote.
8. Press under ¼" seam on
all edges of pocket. Glue or sew trim to top.
9. Cut 4 pieces gimp 30"
long.
10. Arrange gimp in criss-crosses
on one side of floral top. Stitch edges & sew covered buttons to
crosses.
11. Place pockets (adding
small pleat to bottom of plaid pockets) & sew on both plaid pockets &
the clear plastic pocket leaving top open. Add trim. Refer to photo for
placement.
12. Stitch solid cording
around all edges of front (floral) & back (plaid).
13. Center boxing strip
to front (floral), making sure the tabs are at the top. Stitch all
edges.
