All you need is a pair of scissors and a few other simple materials to grow big leaf place mats from Ultrasuede fabric—no watering required. Ultrasuede, which is available at most fabric and crafts stores, doesn’t fray and is machine washable; you can use our template for the leaf shape. We alternated between fabric in two shades of green to set an inviting table for lunch.

Materials:
Ultrasuede
Pins
Pencil
Scissors

Directions:
Begin by printing the
templates. Cut out the pieces, attach them so they form a leaf shape, and lay the shape over a large piece of Ultrasuede; pin. Trace the shape onto the fabric with a pencil, then cut out with scissors.
