Entryway, coffee table or center stage on your
Thanksgiving table—no matter where you place it, this sensational and
oh-so-easy arrangement will be a season highlight.
Materials:
- Large round container
- Fall oak leaf stems
- Approx. 3 dozen mums in assorted colors
- Craft glue or hot glue and glue sticks
- Floral foam (enough to fill container)
- Spanish moss
- Wire cutters
- Scissors
Directions:
-
Cut leaves from stems.
-
Beginning at top, glue leaves around outside of
vase, overlapping slightly.
-
Glue second row. Place glue from center back of
leaf down. Leaf tops should slightly overlap first row.
-
Continue gluing leaves until entire container is
covered.
-
Fill container with floral foam and cover foam
with Spanish moss.
-
Cut mum stems 10" to 12" long. All stems should
be about the same length.
-
Beginning in the middle, place one mum into foam.
Continue to place mums around the sides, one at each of 4 points.
Fill in between with mums so all flowers are approximately the same
height. Some variation in height adds interest and depth, so place
some deeper and keep others longer. Gently bend the stems of some of
the flowers around the edge so they hang down slightly. Let moss
straggle a little from top edge of vase.
