Gazebo:  free-standing structure with a roof, typically octagonal and open on all sides  
     
Georgian: 18th and early 19th century  
     
Gimp:  thin rope or braid used as trim on fabric  
     
Gingham:  mercerized cotton woven fabric of stripes, checks or plaids  
     
Glaze: transparent top coat to protect paint, can have a glossy or matte finish  
     

Gold Leaf:  hand applied thin layers of gold leaf brushed onto a prepared adhesive surface, over a red primer to increase vibrancy and luster

 
     
Grommet:  two round metal sleeves crimped together to protect and strengthen an eyelet  
     
Grout:  thin mortar used to fill in spaces between tiles, bricks or other surfaces
